Another Part of Me is Julie’s second book featuring her poems, pictures and reflections. The first was The Place I Keep in which she published her early work. Written in poetic form, but not always rhyming, Julie leaves her phrases up to the reader’s interpretation. She says, “I’m never sure if what I say, you think I mean.”
Material included in the publication is taken directly from her personal journals. “I want people to know who I am, and whom I’ve become. I’m the woman in my poem who dances in a thunder storm and bathes in a rain barrel. I’m not the stuffy migrant philosopher scanning the globe for ideas, my inner world is my landscape, my outer world is yet to be discovered.” - Monday, July 28, 2025
